Our history

METCARE® was born out of an alarming observation: too many patients experience cosmetic surgery as a lonely, anxiety-inducing, and even risky journey. I therefore designed a unique, international ecosystem of perioperative support.

Our aim: to ensure the safety and improve the experience of cosmetic surgery, from the initial consultation all the way to the final recovery.

FAQ

The post-operative period is a crucial stage in the surgical process.

Following cosmetic, reconstructive or restorative surgery, the body enters a recovery phase that requires support, understanding and follow-up care.

Structured support enables :

  • to follow the various stages of recovery,
  • to maximise comfort,
  • to maintain coordination with the medical team.

Post-operative follow-up does not replace the surgeon: it builds on the care provided by the practice and helps the patient navigate this period with greater guidance.

The timing depends on the type of procedure and the surgeon’s recommendations.

In most cases, initial treatment can begin as early as 48 hours after the procedure, provided the healthcare professional considers it appropriate.

At METCARE®, every treatment plan is organised in accordance with medical guidelines to ensure compliance with the protocol established by the surgeon.

Post-operative care is provided by trained professionals: nurses, physiotherapists and specialist practitioners.

Experts within the METCARE® network follow structured and standardised aesthetic protocols to ensure a consistent and safe framework.

Each practitioner works in conjunction with medical care, without replacing the surgeon.

Please note: before booking an appointment with a practitioner, please check that they are a certified member of the METCARE® network.
Ask them to show you their qualifications and the QR code linking to their certification from our training organisation.

Getting in touch is easy.

All you need to do is :

  1. Fill in the form available on the METCARE® website
  2. Please specify the type of procedure you are having and where you will be recovering
  3. Our team will put you in touch with a qualified expert in your area

Appointments can be arranged at the practice or at home, depending on the situation, in France and in 27 countries.

To join METCARE®, you must :

  • to be a qualified paramedical aesthetic practitioner or qualified practitioner,
  • apply via the dedicated form,
  • to follow the METCARE® training programme.

Each application is reviewed to ensure the consistency of the network and compliance with established standards.

The criteria are based on :

  • the initial level of qualification,
  • work experience,
  • a commitment to following the protocols,
  • the ability to work within a structured framework,
  • and the personal qualities of attentiveness and kindness that are required.

METCARE® seeks candidates who are meticulous, responsible and suited to a demanding environment.

The METCARE® training programme is structured around patented protocols specific to the perioperative period.

It enables participants to acquire specialist skills and to operate within a harmonised framework.

The exact details (certification, recognition) are set out during the induction process.

We have been awarded QUALIOPI certification.

The duration depends on the route chosen.

The courses combine :

  • theoretical modules,
  • supervised practice,
  • protocol validation.

A detailed schedule is provided at the time of application to enable participants to organise their time in a way that is compatible with their work commitments.

Post-operative follow-up places a significant organisational burden on a practice.

Structuring this phase through a formal network enables :

  • to ensure clear continuity of care,
  • to harmonise practices,
  • to provide the patient with additional support,
  • to make international routes safer.

Outsourcing does not mean delegating medical responsibility: it enables the organisation of on-the-ground support within a defined framework.

METCARE® is based on:

  • harmonised protocols,
  • structured training,
  • a rigorous selection of professionals,
  • un cadre commun d’intervention.

Trained experts carry out their work in accordance with defined standards, following medical recommendations.

The network now comprises more than 1,300 trained experts and supports more than 8,000 patients every year.

The process is divided into several stages :

  1. Coordination in accordance with your recommendations
  2. Putting you in touch with a certified expert near your place of convalescence
  3. Monitoring structured in accordance with a defined protocol
  4. Smooth communication where necessary

The aim is to ensure consistent continuity of care, particularly when the patient is geographically distant.

No.

METCARE® is not intended to replace medical supervision.

The surgeon remains the medical authority responsible for the procedure and therapeutic decisions.
METCARE® provides complementary support, in strict accordance with guidelines, to organise the practical aspects of the pre- and post-operative phases.

We have also created the Safety Patient® Label, which ensures continuity of care internationally between the patient, their surgeon and our perioperative experts.
